Branding is always a challenge more difficult than it would seem on the the surface. A logo needs to be a visual icon for the entity is represents, not just a typeface the designer admires. To create branding that works, it should embody something more than the name of the business.

Greenward is a retail establishment in Cambridge, MA. It specializes in eco-friendly modern goods. The owners wanted a clean, modern logo that would reproduce well and be easy to read. They also wanted to incorporate a visual element that would reinforce its core value. I designed motifs and simple iconography repeated throughout the store.
